Mohammed Shadaan Saipillai

Shadaan is the Founder and Managing Partner of Calibre Legal. He is a dual (India and UK) qualified attorney with 24 years of legal experience in the area of general corporate and commercial laws, M&A, employment and dispute resolution.

He assists multinational corporations across various sectors in establishing their presence in India. He advises multinational corporations, offering specialized knowledge on India market entry strategies, foreign direct investment, foreign collaborations, corporate restructuring, commercial agreements, data privacy, and compliance.

He advises international and domestic Indian clients across various sectors including automobiles (including EV), IT and ITES, real estate, construction, infrastructure, financial services, F&B, pharmaceuticals and healthcare, shipping and telecommunications. He represents clients in these sectors in mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures as well as complex litigation and arbitration matters arising out of commercial and cross border transactions.

Shadaan works closely with investors providing legal assistance on all aspects of investments including drafting, negotiating and finalizing the transaction documents.

He holds a postgraduate degree in law (LLM) awarded by the prestigious Queen Mary University of London.
