Career
After practising within other large Brussels and US business law firms, Mireille Buydens joined Janson as a Partner in 2013. Mireille heads the Intellectual Property, Information Technology and Trade Practices department of the firm with Hans Dhondt. She is particularly recognised for her expertise in the field of patents, trademarks and copyright, with extensive experience in complex IP transactions. She ranks amongst the leading IP lawyers in Belgium and she regularly acts for international chemical and oil companies, as well as major multinationals in the food sector. Mireille is highly regarded for her advice and is also well known for her litigating experience and skills. Mireille is also a professor at the Université Libre de Bruxelles (ULB) and at the University of Liège.
