Career
Cédric Alter joined Janson as partner in September 2007 and leads the firm's Insolvency team co-leads the Dispute Resolution Department. Previously, he was Special European Counsel at Wilkie Farr & Gallagher LLP, as well as associate at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer and Stibbe.
Cédric is a professor at the Solvay Brussels School of Economics and Management at the ULB.
Professional Memberships
Cédric Alter regularly acts in judicial and arbitration proceedings (as counsel or arbitrator), and is a member of the Belgian Centre for Arbitration and Mediation (CEPANI) and of the ICC.
He is also co-president of the CAP Network, which brings together insolvency professionals, and secretary of the Insolvency section of the International Bar Association.
Publications
Cédric Alter is the author/co-author of numerous publications in insolvency, contract law, banking and corporate law. He is the author or co-author of several books, including "Insolvabilité des entreprises" (Larcier, 2019), "Droit bancaire général" and "La loi sur la continuité des entreprises revisitée par la loi du 27 mai 2013" (Larcier, Dossier du JT, 2014).
