Career
Miloš Petaković is Counsel at Gecić Law in Belgrade and a senior member of the firm’s Banking & Finance practice. He advises on complex cross-border financing transactions, capital markets matters and a broad range of banking and financial regulatory issues. Drawing on extensive regional experience, Miloš represents banks, investors and other market participants on sophisticated transactions, secured portfolios, restructurings and workouts, combining strong transactional insight with practical commercial judgment.
In addition to his core banking and finance work, Miloš advises on corporate and commercial transactions, dispute resolution and intellectual property matters, bringing a cross-disciplinary perspective to complex client mandates. His broader practice also includes substantial experience in real estate, particularly where financing, development and asset-backed structures intersect.
Before joining Gecić Law, Miloš built significant regional experience leading teams in the management of bank-secured portfolios and advising on transactions and workouts for both banks and investors. This background gives him a strong understanding of lenders’ priorities, risk allocation and enforcement strategy across a range of financial and distressed scenarios.
He holds a law degree from the University of Belgrade, Faculty of Law, and is a member of the Belgrade Bar Association. He is fluent in English and Serbian (including Bosnian, Croatian and Montenegrin).
