Dispute resolution lawyer with more than 30 years of experience in commercial and civil law matters, combining extensive judicial, academic and private practice experience. Before entering private practice, he served as a judge of the Belgrade District Court and the Fourth Municipal Court in Belgrade, as well as judicial assistant to the Supreme Court of Serbia. He also lectured Civil Procedure Law at the Union University Faculty of Law in Belgrade.
His practice focuses on complex litigation, arbitration, enforcement and insolvency matters, with particular experience in banking, finance, insurance, construction, energy, pharmaceuticals and high-value corporate disputes. He regularly represents domestic and international clients before Serbian courts and arbitral tribunals, including ICSID investment arbitrations, and is frequently engaged as an expert on Serbian law in international proceedings.
He has also participated in a number of legislative reform projects concerning civil procedure, court organisation and enforcement law in Serbia, including projects conducted with the Ministry of Justice, USAID, GIZ and EU4Justice. He is the co-author of several professional publications and manuals relating to civil procedure, enforcement and judicial practice.
At present, his practice is concentrated on the most complex domestic and international disputes, strategic risk assessment and high-level advisory work in sophisticated commercial matters.
