Mike Hatchell has been lead counsel in over 400 appeals, argued 47 proceedings in the Texas Supreme Court, argued en banc twice to the federal Fifth Circuit, and has appeared in all 14 Texas courts of appeals. Mike’s practice focuses on appeals to all courts with emphasis on the Texas Supreme Court. He is an elected member of the American Academy of Appellate Lawyers, was named in 2007 as the “Go-To” appellate lawyer in the Texas Lawyer Go-To Guide, and in 2015 was honored by the Texas Bar Foundation with the esteemed Gregory S. Coleman Outstanding Appellate Lawyer Award. He serves on the Texas Supreme Court Advisory Committee and lectures regularly on appellate issues and developing Texas law.
