Managing partner and head of tax at CCS Abogados. Miguel focuses on tax planning and tax litigation, and is responsible for managing the law firm and the tax department.

He is currently a Professor of Financial and Tax Law at the Universidad de La Coruña, Spain. He is also a member of the Real Academia Gallega de Jurisprudencia y Legislación (Royal Galician Academy of Jurisprudence and Legislation) and the Galician Bar Association (equivalent).

Miguel Caamaño is also an Honorary Member of the Latin American Tax Law Association, Member of Honour of the Illustrious College of Economists of Galicia, and a member of the Association of North America Higher Education International.

He is also a former High Court Judge in Galicia, and a former Professor of the Jean Monnet EU Law Programme (1998 through 2005). He also taught at the Graduate Tax Program of the Miami Law School (2013) and the Robert Burch Centre of the University of Berkeley School of Economics, California (2015).

Publications

Miguel Caamaño has authored several tomes covering Spanish and EU Tax Law, and penned over 300 articles included in collective volumes and specialised publications in Spain and abroad. He has led numerous research projects in leading academic institutions and corporate settings.
