Michelle represents clients before gaming authorities and state and federal consumer protection authorities, in private litigation (including consumer class action litigation) and in arbitrations. Michelle helps clients launch nationwide promotions and prepares rules for sweepstakes, contests and giveaways. She also advises on necessary registration and bonding. She provides legal opinions for gaming operators to support the approvals of payment processors, game suppliers, and social networks, among others. Michelle has deep experience counseling clients on legal and industry advertising and marketing requirements in the gaming industry and those applicable to all businesses, such as the Federal Trade Commission’s endorsement guidelines.

Michelle leads companies through the complex licensing process in all states where gaming activities have been legalized and provides guidance on jurisdictions where legalization may be imminent. She also regularly counsels clients on the requirements of federal and state laws applicable to internet gaming, sports betting, free-to-play and social gaming, and games of skill and chance.

As a Certified Information Privacy Professional—U.S., she brings her privacy expertise to guide gaming clients through the ever-evolving landscape of state data protection laws and gaming-specific privacy laws and regulations.
