Michalis Patakos

Practice Areas

Michalis Pattakos is Partner and the Co-Head of our M&A and Bankruptcy & Restructuring practice groups and is admitted in the Athens Bar Association. He has more than 15 years of experience of service to major corporate clients.

Michalis focuses on complex corporate transactions, advising multinational clients on large-scale projects and acquisitions, distressed corporate restructurings and project finance. He has led significant M&A projects in various industries, including retail, F&B, pharma, insurance, gaming, telecoms, IT and chemicals.

He specializes in antitrust advice and litigation, representing clients before the Hellenic Competition Commission and the Greek Courts. He has been involved in a series of landmark antitrust cases, including price-fixing and bid-rigging allegations, as well as in merger clearance cases before the EU Commission.

Michalis has authored a series of articles, including “International Survey of Investment Adviser Regulation”, 2012, Kluwer Law International.
