Michael E. Landis extensive experience in commercial bankruptcy matters, representing debtors, trustees, committees, and creditors, he has been involved in every aspect of a bankruptcy case from filing the initial petition, first day motions, litigating contested matters, and confirming a plan. He has also represented clients in post-confirmation issues, as well as out of court restructuring.
Michael represents debtors in several industries, including oil and gas, quick service franchises, construction, maritime, and even churches. He is familiar with security rights of all interested parties. Michael gained experience in bankruptcy starting in law school by earning the highest grade in Bankruptcy and Bankruptcy Reorganization Seminar. He also gained experience working as an extern to the Honorable Douglas Dodd (ret).
