Meredith Halama serves as firmwide Co-Chair of the Privacy & Security Practice and firmwide Chair of the Ad Tech industry group. With more than 20 years of experience in privacy law and nearly 15 years of experience with advertising technology, Meredith is a leading authority on ad tech privacy issues. Meredith counsels clients on the full spectrum of consumer privacy issues, with a particular emphasis on targeted advertising, mobile advertising, data monetization, and related business practices. Meredith’s work spans industries; her clients include major technology platforms, wearable tech providers, brands, publishers, and streaming services as well as advertising technology intermediaries.
Meredith works with clients to develop privacy programs designed to help them comply with consumer privacy laws, including the CCPA and other new state laws, children’s privacy laws, and marketing-specific laws. Through her career, Meredith has developed a deep understanding of the online advertising ecosystem and is valued by clients for her practical and efficient guidance.
In addition to her counseling practice, Meredith represents companies in litigation and regulatory investigations. She also drafts privacy policies, online terms and conditions, and other consumer-facing disclosures. Meredith also regularly drafts and negotiates commercial agreements related to the collection, use and sharing of consumer information.
