Career
Jia Mengmeng holds a Master of Laws degree (with a specialization in Tax Law) from Southwest University of Political Science & Law.
She currently serves as a Senior Partner in the Tax Department of Gaopeng Law Firm (Beijing), Deputy Secretary-General of the Taxation & Finance Committee of the Beijing Lawyers Association, Member of the Taxation & Finance Professional Research Committee of the Chaoyang District Lawyers Association, Member of the Economic Law Research Institute of the China Law Society, and Member of the Taxation & Finance Committee of the Beijing Culture & Entertainment Law Society.
Ms. Jia has been repeatedly invited to academic events hosted by the Taxation & Finance Law Research Institute of the China Law Society and the Beijing Institute of Finance, Taxation & Law, where she shares her professional insights.
Previously, Ms. Jia was a member of the legal advisory team for the State Taxation Administration and the Beijing municipal tax system (including local tax bureaus, inspection bureaus, and tax branches across all districts). She is among the rare lawyers in China with extensive experience providing two-way tax-related legal services to both tax authorities and taxpayers.
Since June 2020, Ms. Jia has focused on representing taxpayers in tax dispute resolution. She has successfully resolved tax enterprise disputes in hundreds of major and complex tax cases, helping enterprises mitigate tax risks. Her representation in tax-related criminal defense cases (involving issues such as false invoicing, illegal sale/purchase of invoices, and tax evasion) has consistently achieved outcomes that satisfy her clients.
Cases represented by Ms. Jia have been selected for inclusion in China Court Annual Cases 2025, a publication compiled by the Supreme People's Court of China.
