Melody focuses her practice on dispute resolution, investigations, and regulatory compliance.

As to litigation, Melody has represented clients in numerous high stakes litigation matters in China and is known for her trial advocacy and breaking new ground in China’s courts.

Melody has acted as lead counsel in a wide-variety of arbitration matter, both in China, and, in Asia more generally--from disputes over failed joint ventures to those concerning financial instruments, real estate transactions, project financing, insurance, and trade mark licensing.

As an experienced negotiator, Melody is often called upon to assist in cross-border criminal litigation and with sensitive investigations in China, assisting clients before Chinese ministries and agencies. Melody is also a recognized industry leader in the areas of data compliance and PRC state secrecy. In addition to her advocacy work, she has been appointed as an expert witness for numerous foreign proceedings (e.g. U.S., Hong Kong, Singapore) involving Chinese law issues.
