Maureen is partner and head of the IP Team in Dublin. She specialises in all aspects of intellectual property (IP) matters (both contentious and non-contentious) including advising on and maintaining IP portfolios, advising on the clearance, registration, defence, exploitation and enforcement of intellectual property rights as well as devising IP strategies, handling trademark filings and prosecutions as well as advising on IP due diligences and the commercialisation of IP rights by way of licences, assignments, franchising, sponsorship, research and development, collaboration and non-disclosure agreements. Maureen also provides strategic advice to clients in complex IP disputes as well as litigates such disputes before the Courts. Maureen also advises on Artificial Intelligence including compliance with the EU AI Act.
Maureen has extensive experience in advising clients on compliance with data protection and freedom of information law including advising on ongoing compliance with the GDPR, access requests, international transfers of data, appeals/complaints to the relevant authorities and on data breaches.
