He joined Baker McKenzie as a trainee in September 2017 and was admitted as a Solicitor of England and Wales in September 2019. During his training Maulik was seconded to Google's commercial legal team for six months, and as an associate was seconded to Three UK's commercial and networks team.
Currently Maulik is based in Baker McKenzie’s Singapore office (2025 – 2026).
Maulik's practice focuses on drafting, negotiating and advising on complex, international technology and commercial contracts. He also focuses on complex telecoms transactions and regulation, outsourcing arrangements and new technologies, and advises on AI, data protection and platform regulation.
