Matthew Okin is a founder and the Managing Partner of Okin Adams LLP, a Texas-based bankruptcy and commercial litigation boutique. Matt's practice focuses on corporate restructuring and commercial litigation. In his restructuring practice, Matt represents parties of all types, including debtors, creditors, official and ad hoc committees, asset purchasers and trustees. Matt has particular expertise in representing companies of all sizes who are in need of out-of-court or in-court restructuring advice. Matt is adept at understanding his restructuring clients' businesses and their particular challenges and using that understanding to craft a solution for each client that is unique to their circumstances.
Matt has represented parties in a broad range of industries, including in particular oil and gas, electricity, retail, and health care. Matt represents clients throughout the United States and internationally. He is admitted to practice in the state and federal courts in Texas as well as the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit and the United States Supreme Court.
