Martin has more than 20 years of experience in civil damages proceedings under competition law and in defending clients in competition-law proceedings before the European Commission, the German Federal Cartel Office, and German and European courts. He regularly advises clients in German and multinational merger control cases, and on all other aspects of competition law.
His clients include leading industrial firms, investment banks and private equity firms, as well as numerous small and medium-sized enterprises.

Martin studied Law at the University of Regensburg, the Johannes Gutenberg University of Mainz, the University of Alcalá, Spain, and the University of Aberdeen, Scotland. Master of Laws 1999. Doctor of Laws 2001. In the years 2000 to 2008, Martin worked at Gleiss Lutz and Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP, where he led the German competition-law practice. He founded the BUNTSCHECK law firm in 2008.
