Lead partner of Kennedys Bermuda office, Mark specialises in commercial litigation and arbitration involving insurance, financial services, and private client sectors.
Mark maintains an international practice, frequently representing clients on multi-jurisdictional matters; particularly involving the United States, as a member of the California bar. After practicing at two leading firms in London for 16 years, he established the Bermuda law firm now known as Kennedys Chudleigh Ltd.
Mark’s commercial litigation practice includes corporate, insolvency, trusts, and insurance matters involving commercial entities around the world. Mark’s insurance practice covers all classes of business. He has handled numerous contentious matters, including in the English and Bermuda courts, and arbitrations in England, Bermuda, Switzerland and the United States.
Mark has substantial experience handling London and Bermuda arbitrations emanating from the Bermuda market. He also acts as an arbitrator.
Mark has been an expert witness on issues of Bermuda law in foreign court and arbitration proceedings.
Mark was elected to the Bermuda Bar Council and sits on the Committee of the Claims and Litigation Management Alliance (Bermuda branch). Memberships include ARIAS, the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, the International Association of Restructuring, Insolvency & Bankruptcy Professionals (INSOL International) and the Professional Liability Underwriting Society (PLUS).
