Erik Penz maintains a broad advocacy and advisory practice in complex commercial and civil disputes.
He is active on matters within the construction, energy and insurance sectors.
Erik’s practice covers all forms of dispute resolution, including insolvency and regulatory proceedings, and he has extensive experience with strategic / tactical litigation and multi-jurisdictional proceedings. Erik is a strong proponent of alternative dispute resolution mechanisms such as mediation (including through the Centre for Effective Dispute Resolution in London) and negotiation.
He leads the firm's English Contentious Services team.
Clients include: state-owned entities active in the tourism sector, employers, contractors and sub-contractors, publicly-traded multinationals, power and water companies, insurers, insureds and claims adjusters, oilfield-service providers, exploration stage natural resource companies, and oil production and distribution companies.
