Prior to founding DSM in 2004, Mario Di Stefano was legal counsel and managing partner with a Luxembourg fiduciary, and later partner at a Luxembourg law firm. His primary practice area is Real Estate and Construction, but he also advises on dispute resolution, commercial and business law, corporate and M&A, administrative and public law, restructuring & insolvency, tax, EU & competition law, life sciences, employment and social security law, and criminal law and white collar crime.
Mario has over 20 years’ experience in real estate matters. He regularly presents on changes in the Luxembourg zoning and planning and tax legislation affecting the real estate sector
He is a dual-qualified lawyer, fully qualified to practice in Luxembourg and Germany, and is a member of the bars of Luxembourg, Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, and Frankfurt/Main, Germany.
Mario is also a member of the Board of Directors and Chairman of the real estate committee of the American Chamber of Commerce in Luxembourg (AMCHAM).
He publishes on legal topics in the specialised press and in books in French, English, German and Italian, and is on the editorial board of a real estate magazine published by Legitech, one of Luxembourg’s largest legal publishers.
