Marika has specialised in complex family law cases for over 20 years. Her financial cases often involve overseas assets, assets held in offshore trusts, family businesses or inherited wealth.
She has a particular interest in helping families and wealth advisers protect family businesses or generational wealth from the impact of divorce. Family law advice can be constructive and proactive and this is something Marika is very passionate about.
Marika is solution-focused and seeks to empower and support her clients in reaching their own agreement; only involving the court when it is absolutely necessary.
Marika set up her own firm in May 2023 following 11 years as a partner in large commercial/full service firms.
Marika is Collaboratively trained and an Accredited Specialist in Family Law. She is also a fluent Italian speaker and frequently advises clients with cross border Italian issues. She regularly chairs and speaks at National Conferences and Training seminars on family law. She has acted as an expert witness in international family law cases.
Trained at Balfour + Manson and qualified into its family law team in 2004.
