Marian "Bo" Mehan is a trusted advisor with decades of experience in estate and trust law, known for her excellence in guiding individuals, families, and institutions through complex planning and administration.
Bo is a co-chair emeritus of the Firm's Estate Planning Department and a former member of the Firm's Management Committee. With more than three decades of experience, she advises clients on estate planning, wealth transfer strategies, estate and trust administration, and post-mortem planning.
Bo has built her practice on a strong foundation of personal and professional relationships within the St. Louis community. Her work often involves deeply personal matters, and she is known for guiding clients and their families through the estate planning process with discretion, compassion, and sound judgment. Her understanding of the tax code and years of practice make her a trusted advisor to high-net-worth individuals and families, including those with privately held businesses.

In addition to representing individuals and families, Bo represents banks and other institutions in estate and trust matters, including their roles as trustees and personal representatives. She has particular experience in modifying irrevocable trusts.
Bo is a frequent speaker and panelist on advanced estate planning topics and is committed to continuing education in the field. In 2016, she was inducted into the SLU LAW Order of the Fleur de Lis Hall of Fame, the highest honor awarded by Saint Louis University School of Law to alumni who demonstrate leadership in their communities and in their legal careers.
Bo is actively involved in civic and charitable work and has held leadership roles with several nonprofit organizations in St. Louis, including the Pershing Foundation, Lesley A. Waldheim Foundation, and Saint Louis University. She currently serves as Chair of ACCESS Academies, a nonprofit dedicated to providing high-quality, values-based education to socially and economically disadvantaged students in the St. Louis area.
