She’s helped acquire licenses, authorizations or concessions for the development and execution of projects, contract drafting and negotiation, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, financing, transfer of shares, and due diligence.
Chambers and Legal 500 recognized her as a notable practitioner for real estate and tourism matters. She is also a co-founder of the Dominican Association of Intellectual Property (ADOPI).
María advises clients on concessions for renewable energy projects and matters related to the generation, distribution, and commercialization of energy and oil. She also represents international companies in tenders participation related to the purchase of energy and coal.
Her upbeat, loyal, solutions-orientated nature, commitment, and legal knowledge along with her understanding of the intricacies of regulated sectors, make her an agile counselor and mediator for businesses in these sectors.
Her legal advice regarding the first gas pipeline in the East region of the country helped allow the Dominican Republic to become the country with the most diversified energy matrix in Central America and the insular Caribbean.
When she’s not working, María can be found spending time with family, traveling, shopping, exercising and supporting community service.
