Marco Wilhelm

Marco Wilhelm is a highly experienced and respected transactional and restructuring lawyer. He advises frequently in complex and often in cross-border situations and acts for borrowers, secured and unsecured creditors, distressed investors, private equity and strategic investors and shareholders. He also regularly advises the management/board of directors and the supervisory board or other boards regarding their duties in financially distressed situations.

Core areas of Marco’s transaction practice are domestic and international M&A, joint ventures, and corporate and commercial matters.

He advises clients in restructuring or insolvency situations on financing, refinancing, corporate and operational restructuring and insolvency issues, like avoidance rights, terminations of contracts and set-off etc.

He founded the firm’s German restructuring and insolvency practice and is its leader.

Marco is standing legal counsel and trusted adviser to several US- and Germany-based manufacturing companies in the automotive, chemical, wood, glass, food, paper and retail industries, for which he advises regularly on all corporate, commercial and transactional issues.
