Marco Rizzo

Marco, managing partner of Gitti and Partners Law Firm, is a litigator with significant experience in the areas of banking and capital markets law. He assists a number of major banks acting as issuers or distributors of banking and financial products and services on the Italian market. His practice is mainly focused on liabilities arising from financial instruments or banking and insurance products, as well as labor and agency disputes in the banking industry.

Marco has also been involved in the negotiation of highly complex financing agreements and has advised financial intermediaries and credit institutions with respect to various commercial and regulatory matters, as well as to debt restructuring. He has recently provided assistance to primary Italian and foreign banking institutions, also operating on line, in transactions regarding the assignment of receivables, securitizations and distribution of social lending (peer-to-peer loan) on the Italian market. He is active as speaker at conferences on banking law and litigation.

Marco was admitted to the Italian bar in 2003, after he graduated from the law school of the Catholic University of Milan in 1998 and he is authorized to plead at the Court of Cassation and higher courts. Marco attended military (navy) high school “F. Morosini” in Venice, Italy and he is a member of the related Alumni Association.
