Marcelo Mattos focuses his practice in the areas of Banking and Finance and Infrastructure, with expertise in several industries including oil and gas, shipping and mining. He is also a recognized expert in the area of maritime/naval law.

Mr. Mattos works with a number of prestigious financial institutions including DNB Bank ASA, Caterpillar Financial Corporation, Mizuho Corporate Bank, SunTrust, Macquarie Bank, Nordea Bank Norge ASA, DVB Bank and WestLB Bank, representing them in various transactions and projects. He is adept at working with multilateral agencies, which includes assisting the International Finance Corporation (IFC) for nearly two decades. Mr. Mattos also has considerable experience working with the Japanese Bank for International Cooperation (JBIC), the Export-Import Bank of the United States (EXIMBANK), the European Investment Bank (EIB) and the Nordic Investment Bank (NIB).
