Luiz Henrique Cunha leads the firm’s Tax Advisory (Non-Contentious) practice and brings 17 years of experience in both direct and indirect taxation. In addition to advising on complex and high-impact tax matters, he has a strong track record in tax planning, corporate reorganizations, mergers and acquisitions, cross-border investments, succession planning, and tax credit recovery.
He regularly assists clients in the tax structuring and implementation of new business models and operational frameworks, providing strategic guidance to companies across a range of industries, including mining, construction (with a focus on public-private partnerships), retail, energy (fuel distribution), food, and technology.
Luiz also has solid experience in tax litigation, having represented clients in complex, high-value disputes before the Administrative Tax Appeals Council (CARF) and Federal Courts.
He holds a postgraduate degree in Tax Law from the Brazilian Institute of Tax Law (IBDT) and a law degree from PUC Minas. Luiz is also an active member of the IBDT.
