Luis Sandoval is a leading insurance law expert with a distinguished track record in both national and international arenas. His expertise is regularly sought at major industry forums, including his role as a member of the AIDA Global Presidency Council (Madrid, 2025), President of Iberoamerica Comitte of AIDA (CILA), Vice-president of Dispute resolution Working Group AIDA and as a featured guest at the International Insurance Law Conference in La Paz, Bolivia (2025). He has been an international panelist at renowned events such as the 32nd Meeting of the Colombian Association of Insurance Law (Cali, 2024), the 1st Conference on Innovation, Technology and Sustainability in Insurance, organized by Externado University of Colombia (Bogotá, 2024).
Beyond speaking engagements, Luis has played key organizational roles—most notably as part of the Organizing Committee of the XVIII Ibero-Latin American Congress of Insurance Law (CILA) in Santiago, Chile, and as the driving force behind the “Risks and Artificial Intelligence” seminar held in partnership with the Fernando Fueyo Foundation and Diego Portales University. Founder of Sandoval & Cía. in 2009 and Peralta Sandoval Llaneza & Gutiérrez in 2022, Luis has also shaped the next generation of industry professionals as academic director of multiple diploma programs in collaboration with the Chilean Insurers Association and Universidad de Los Andes. Currently, Luis is director of the Academy of Insurance and Social Security, affiliated with the Fernando Fueyo Laneri Foundation and the Diego Portales University.
Luis is a lawyer from the University of Chile, holding a Master’s in Business Law from Adolfo Ibáñez University and an LL.M. from The London School of Economics and Political Science. He also earned a Diploma in History with a specialization in Universal History from the University of Los Andes, as well as an Advanced Course in Law on GPT Chat and its Application to Legal Practice from the University of Salamanca and doinGlobal.
