Career

He has worked as Legal Vice-President of the Chamber of Commerce of Bogota; Legal Vice-President of the Corporación Financiera del Valle S.A. (as of today Corporación Financiera Colombiana); Legal Vice-President of Central de Seguros S.A. (as of today QBE Seguros S.A.); Director of the Master’s Degree on Economic Law of the Universidad Javeriana. Coordinator of the Training Center on Conflicts of Interests from the same University.

He has been main member of the Disciplinary Camera of Stock-Market of Values from Colombia and representative by Colombia at the Commission of the United Nations for the International Commercial Law in Insolvency. Currently is an Arbitrator of the Chamber of Commerce of Bogota.

He has a JD from Pontificia Universidad Javeriana; holds a Master’s Degree on Economic Law from the same University and a Post Graduate in Financial Legislation from the Universidad de los Andes. Also has a LL.M. at University of California, Berkeley and is Phd in Private Law (2023), from the University of Salamanca, Spain. With courses in Blockchain Unlocked Academy, Fundamentals of Banking Law & FinTech and ISDA in New York. In addition, he has obtained a post graduate tittle in Insurance Law from Universidad de Salamanca, and he is currently the Director of the Cryptocurrency Study Center of Universidad Javeriana.

Finally, he has studies on International Arbitration in Virginia (United States) and Paris (France).
