Mrs. Lixia Zhang, who has been serving as an arbitrator since 1995 and was once one of the youngest arbitrators employed in Beijing in those year, has accumulated nearly 30 years of experience in hearing and deciding commercial arbitration cases. Since Mrs. Lixia Zhang was engaged in her career as an arbitrator, she has been employed by numerous domestic and overseas arbitration institutions because of her superb hearing skills and preeminent ability of rendering an award. At present, Mrs. Lixia Zhang is serving in the China International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission (CIETAC), Beijing Arbitration Commission (BAC), Hong Kong International Arbitration Centre (HKIAC), Shenzhen Court of International Arbitration (SIAC), China Maritime Arbitration Commission (CMAC) the Arbitration Center Across the Straits, Shanghai International Arbitration Center (SHIAC), Shanghai Arbitration Commission, Tianjin Arbitration Commission, Shenzhen Arbitration Commission, Guangzhou Arbitration Commission, Hainan Arbitration Commission, Qingdao Arbitration Commission, Hefei Arbitration Commission, Harbin Arbitration Commission, Zhuhai Arbitration Commission, Zhengzhou Arbitration Commission and Dalian Arbitration Commission. Taking her unique responsibility as a senior arbitrator, Mrs. Lixia Zhang has also dedicated in cultivating new arbitrators hired by arbitration institutions such as CIETAC and BAC.

Mrs. Lixia Zhang has heard over 1,000 commercial arbitration cases, equipping herself with mature skills of handling complex and major commercial arbitration cases at home and abroad and an abundant knowledge in certain fields of practice, such as equity, trust and securities, investment funds, real estate and construction engineering, and international trade of goods, hundreds of which are difficult cases whose amount in dispute are more than ￥100 million. Not only is Mrs. Lixia Zhang extraordinarily competent in handling the substantive issues of arbitration cases, but also is she familiar with the arbitration rules of different arbitration institutions and skilled in handling complex procedural issues, such as multi-party procedures and multi-contract combined arbitration procedures.
