Lindsey Miller

Lindsey Miller is a Partner in Desmarais LLP’s High-Tech and Life Sciences Practices and a trusted trial partner in high-stakes patent disputes. She represents plaintiffs and defendants in federal courts nationwide, guiding matters from pre-complaint diligence and strategy through claim construction, discovery, summary judgment, and trial.

Her technical experience spans consumer electronics, software, networking, data storage and security, pharmaceuticals, and medical devices. She has played a central role in matters yielding more than $1.25 billion in recoveries and in defending claims worth hundreds of millions of dollars.

Lindsey also advises on global patent enforcement, portfolio diligence and valuation, pre-litigation strategy, licensing and settlement agreements, and post-grant proceedings before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board.

She joined Desmarais in 2015 and became a partner in 2021, after practicing at Jones Day and working as a project analyst at FTI Consulting.

Lindsey serves as Co-Chair of the Programs Committee for the NYIPLA and is active in ChIPs, The Women in IP Network, Tech Up for Women, and the Women in Law Empowerment Forum.

A Maryland native, she earned degrees in Chemical Engineering and Political Science from Virginia Tech and her J.D., summa cum laude, from the University of Baltimore School of Law.
