Lina Gattás is a Partner at RAD/ and heads the firm’s Employment, Social Security and Immigration practice in Colombia. With more than 22 years of experience, she is a trusted adviser to Colombian and multinational companies, boards, general counsel, chief human resources officers and senior executives on business-critical employment matters.
Her practice focuses on complex workforce transformations, organisational restructurings, executive compensation and benefits, outsourcing and contractor models, sensitive workplace investigations, senior-level terminations, employment litigation, social security and business immigration. Lina also advises employers on workplace culture and conduct, sexual harassment prevention, gender equity, disability inclusion and diversity, equity and inclusion programmes. This work forms part of her broader practice advising companies on sustainable employment relationships, leadership accountability and the management of workplace risk.
Lina regularly leads matters that combine significant legal, operational and reputational risk. She advises companies undergoing organisational change, redesigning their workforce or compensation structures, managing complex employee and union relations, or responding to major developments in Colombian employment regulation. She is particularly recognised for translating complex employment law issues into practical business strategies. Her approach combines technical legal expertise with a deep understanding of human resources, talent management and organisational dynamics, enabling her to design solutions that are legally robust, commercially sound and operationally workable.
Before joining RAD/, Lina practised at Brigard Urrutia in Bogotá and gained international professional experience at Uría Menéndez in Madrid. She holds an MSc in International Employment Relations and Human Resource Management from the London School of Economics and Political Science.
Lina has taught employment law, talent management and labour relations at Universidad de los Andes and Universidad Sergio Arboleda. She has also lectured in executive education programmes for business leaders and senior human resources professionals. Finally, Lina serves on the Board of Women in Connection, WIC, where she contributes to initiatives promoting women’s leadership, gender equity and inclusive workplaces.
