Lee heads the firm's planning & infrastructure team. He is a specialist planning solicitor and has considerable experience in all aspects of planning and related law.
Lee’s practice has a particular emphasis on major infrastructure projects and residential development schemes. He has notable compulsory purchase order experience, which includes leading teams advising on the promotion of CPOs for major highways and regeneration schemes.
Lee regularly advises in relation to sustainable urban extension projects and major residential developments, including complex planning agreements. He has notable knowledge of the complex area of environmental impact assessment law and an enviable track record in relation to judicial review challenges in a planning context.
Lee has advised on some of the most high value and complex projects in the country, including on the first major infrastructure project to be successfully promoted under the Planning Act 2008, representing promoters, local authorities and statutory consultees on energy and infrastructure projects.
Lee has particular expertise in relation to village green litigation and had conduct of a successful appeal to the Supreme Court on behalf of a developer client in the widely reported Paddico/Betterment village green litigation.
