Practice Areas

Laura is a recognised and well-respected extradition lawyer. She has extensive experience in representing individuals in complex and high-profile extradition cases, including those that concern serious criminal charges such as human trafficking, in cases both in the Magistrates Court and at the High Court.

Laura has represented clients whose extradition is sought by states throughout Europe and worldwide, including extradition requests from Spain, Czech Republic, Canada and Nigeria. Laura is instructed in cases dealing with a full spectrum of issues and is well-regarded for her work, particularly on cases involving human rights arguments. Laura also advises on issues relating to Interpol Red Notices and requests for Mutual Legal Assistance.

In regards to her criminal practice, Laura is a tenacious advocate regularly appearing at the police station and at the Magistrates Court dealing with a diverse range of cases involving drugs, violent crimes, fraud and serious sexual offence cases.

Career

In 2016, Laura joined McMillan Williams (MW) Solicitors as a Paralegal. She became a trainee solicitor in 2017 before officially qualifying as Solicitor in March 2019. Having remained at the firm, Laura is well regarded member of the Crime & Extradition team at Taylor Rose MW.
