Konstantin Christie is a US-qualified lawyer, who specializes in complex international commercial disputes and arbitration under international treaties (ISDS).
He has acted in more than 50 arbitrations, stemming from a variety of industries, including oil, gas and electricity (with a particular emphasis on long-term supply agreements), as well as cases arising from the commodities trading, extraction of natural resources and joint ventures.
Based in Switzerland for most of his career, Konstantin often deals with cases under Swiss and other civil laws. In addition, Konstantin regularly works with damages experts and clients in order to evaluate the financial compensation and potential viability of claims arising out of a treaty or contract. He often represents clients from Europe and the Middle East and has significant experience with arbitrations in the former CIS and the Asia-Pacific region – seated in Zurich, Geneva, Paris, London, Singapore, Seoul and Hong Kong.
Konstantin Christie also served as tribunal secretary in a number of “bet the company” arbitrations and is familiar with the rules of most leading arbitral institutions (including ICC, SCAI, LCIA, SIAC, ICSID and UNCITRAL) bringing this experience to his appointments and counsel cases.
