Kirsty has a busy and thriving commercial practice and is a recognised leading junior across a number of areas, including commercial disputes, company and partnership disputes and insolvency matters. Kirsty is also recognised for her expertise in fraud claims.
She is regularly instructed in trials in the High Court, as well as interlocutory applications including freezing and other injunctions. She has also acted in arbitrations and mediations.
Recent experience has seen Kirsty succeed in a multi-day trial against a director for misfeasance, obtaining an interim injunction against a senior employee for breach of contract and to enforce restrictive covenants, advising and drafting in several unfair prejudice petitions and claims for breach of directors’ duties, as well as advising, drafting and appearing in several insolvency applications.

Kirsty was called to the Bar in 2011.
Prior to being at the self-employed Bar, Kirsty worked as an in-house barrister at a top tier 100 law firm where she worked predominately on a USD75 million warranty claim arising from a share sale (Triumph v Primus). Kirsty also gained experience in cross border litigation when she assisted an English company operating in Afghanistan to obtain a worldwide freezing injunction and pursue claims for dishonesty against one of its directors.
