Kim Beng specialises in projects and infrastructure. He represents clients in building and construction, chemicals, data centres, transport, power and energy, oil & gas, mining, water and telecommunications. His expertise is dispute resolution, advising and acting as counsel in both institutional and ad hoc arbitrations. He also receives appointments as arbitrator in construction matters. He is also engaged by clients for strategic project advice and conflict management.
Kim Beng was in the inaugural cohort of appointees accredited as a Senior Accredited Specialist in Building and Construction Law, a select group recognised by the Singapore Academy of Law (SAL) for being leading experts in the field. He teaches at the Singapore Management University as adjunct faculty, instructing the course on International Construction Law. As Chair of the Construction and Infrastructure sub-committee of the SAL’s Promotion of Singapore Law Committee, he leads initiatives for promoting the adoption of Singapore law for projects in the region.
