Kim Beatson

Kim Beatson developed and now leads our nationally renowned Family and Dispute Resolution team. Kim’s practice is two thirds “litigation” and one third mediation and other dispute resolution. She does a mix of complex finance work, including a significant number of high to ultra-high net worth pre-nuptial agreements and negotiated financial settlements.

Kim understands the importance of ensuring her clients achieve the financial settlement required for them to move on to a positive future. She takes pride in pushing things forward for her clients and reaching settlements swiftly, without compromising on desired outcomes. With this approach, clients can be confident they are receiving a cost-effective and valuable service.

Kim was a pioneer in advancing mediation as a form of helping couples resolve disputes outside of the Courts. She now has a substantial mediation practice, with many other family Solicitors referring work onto her. Kim is also an ADR Group Accredited civil and commercial mediator and is particularly enthusiastic about the benefits of mediation for resolving cohabitation and contentious probate disputes.
