Career

David is a specialist in trusts and estate disputes, acting for individuals, trustees, executors, the Official Solicitor, and trust companies. He is committed to facilitating real improvements in people’s lives, through working effectively with family, carers, and the client. He has built one of the largest departments in London, wherein all members of staff are trained to deliver high quality services at a reasonable price. His experience as a litigator means he can intervene effectively in family disputes and breach of trust issues.

David has encyclopaedic knowledge of the law concerning disputes involving the validity of wills and trusts. He is a tenacious litigator of breach of trust claims, removal of trustees and executors, and claims under the Inheritance (Provision for Family and Dependants) Act 1975. His practice includes advice on taxation issues as they apply to complex large multi-jurisdictional cases.

David has developed a particular expertise in working with beneficiaries without capacity for both the Official Solicitor and Court of Protection. He undertakes expert witness work in this regard in the Court of Protection and civil courts. David has a reputation for detailed forensic analysis and preparation of complex evidence in cases involving fraud and breach of trust.

He is adept at acting quickly and effectively in matters that require assets to be secured. David is well versed in assessing the merits of various strategies in multi-faceted cases, thereby effecting expedited cost-effective solutions.

Aside from technical expertise, David understands the strains on individuals and families at times of crisis. His ability to secure practical solutions to complex disputes ensures that costs and publicity are kept to a minimum. This often involves ADR and mediated tax efficient settlements.
