Khalid's practice focuses on both debt and equity capital markets (including Rule 144A and Reg S). While he started his legal career in Saudi Arabia, Khalid spent near a decade working in the international capital markets team of a Magic Circle firm in London, advising on landmark transactions such as the Prosus IPO (EUR 120 billion market cap at the time) and the Euronext EUR 1.8 billion rights issue, as well as some of the most noteworthy Rule 144A/Reg S transactions in the MENA region including issuances by the Ministry of Finance of Saudi Arabia, the Kingdom of Bahrain, the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, the Saudi Telecom Company and the Saudi Arabian Oil Company (Aramco). Khalid has advised clients on IPOs on the Saudi Exchange Main Market, London Stock Exchange and Euronext, dozens of Sukuk and bond issuances in the GCC, and has also advised on some of the largest public M&A transactions in the Saudi market.
