Katie Pearson

Katie is a highly experienced Cayman Islands litigator, whose clients include top law firms in Hong Kong, the PRC, the US and the UK, venture capital funds and Cayman Islands insolvency practitioners.

Katie’s practice encompasses the full spectrum of Cayman litigation and insolvency work. She has a particular focus on fraud and asset-tracing work, and shareholder disputes.

Katie co-founded Claritas in June 2022 in order to provide clients with the benefit of almost two decades experience in global law firms in the UK and the Cayman Islands, whilst also providing the flexibility, personal service and costs-savings that result from operating a low cost model.

Katie began her legal career in London where she trained at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, qualifying in 2004, and practised at leading fraud litigation firm, Peters & Peters, before moving to the Cayman Islands in 2009, where she practised with Appleby and then Harneys before founding Claritas in 2022.
