Katherine T. Hopkins brings extensive experience in asset acquisitions, divestitures, financings, and restructurings, with a primary focus on bankruptcy and business reorganizations. As a member of the firm’s Business Reorganization and Bankruptcy group, she represents creditors, debtors, Chapter 11 trustees, liquidating trustees, equity stakeholders, and other parties in interest across a broad spectrum of cases.
Ms. Hopkins has significant litigation experience in both federal and state courts, focusing on creditor/debtor disputes, financial services, and commercial litigation. Her restructuring work spans a variety of industries, including retail, restaurants, manufacturing, banking, real estate, aviation, construction, and oil and gas energy production.
In 2016, Ms. Hopkins was honored with the Romina L. Mulloy-Bossio Achievement Award, recognizing her as an outstanding young bankruptcy lawyer. She has also been voted among Fort Worth’s best bankruptcy attorneys by her peers in polls conducted by Fort Worth Magazine and 360 West.
Before joining the firm, Ms. Hopkins served as a law clerk to the Honorable Ronald B. King, Chief United States Bankruptcy Judge for the Western District of Texas, San Antonio Division.
