Katie Page has significant experience handling cases involving the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act; Washington's Model Toxics Control Act; the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act; natural resource damage claims; toxic torts; and common law torts. She has worked on large federal cleanup sites, such as the Lower Duwamish Waterway Superfund Site and Kalamazoo River Superfund Site as well as state-led cleanups. At larger sites, she is adept at working collaboratively with other parties to advance the process while also looking out for her clients' interests, leading one client to refer to her as a masterful "herder of cats."
Many of the cases that Katie handles involve sites that operated many decades ago. She skillfully pieces together a coherent picture of what happened at these legacy sites through a combination of historical documents, interviews with current and former employees, and the work of scientific experts. She then devises a method to divide cleanup costs among the various potentially responsible parties.
Katie maintains an active pro bono practice, representing clients in asylum and other immigration proceedings, social security disability matters, and cases involving constitutional rights.
