Karl is Partner and leads the Life Sciences & Healthcare practice and co-leads the Intellectual Property practice for the Firm. He has over 20 years of experience advising clients on the protection of trademark rights, patents, industrial models and designs, plant breeders’ rights, copyrights and management of trademark, patent and health registration portfolios at the national and international level. In addition, he has extensive experience in IP due diligence processes for the purposes of internal control and mergers and acquisitions of companies. He has also carried out processes to claim rights for infringement by third parties.

Karl has over 15 years of experience assisting clients with all of their life sciences and healthcare law needs. This includes advice for pharma products and medical devices and equipment, in everything related to market approvals, and issues related to labelling, advertisement and product liability. He also actively advises clients concerning health regulations for dietary supplements, foodstuffs, alcoholic beverages and cosmetics; in everything related to market approvals, and issues related to labelling, functional claims and product advertising.
