Karem Jureidini Dias

Tax law: litigation, legal advice and consulting

Considerable expertise in litigation and advisory, especially in the communication and chemicals sector. PhD and Master’s degree in Public Law from Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo. She is a 1991 graduate of Faculdade de Direito da Universidade de São Paulo and member of the Brazilian Bar Association. She began her career at Advocacia Gandra Martins and acquired international experience at a Chicago-based law firm in the United States. In 1995, she founded her own firm. She also teaches at IBET and in several Post Graduate Schools. Karem Jureidini Dias served as a Judge of the Tribunal de Impostos e Taxas (State Tax Court) of São Paulo State during the period 2001 to 2006, and was a Member of the Municipal Tax Council of the City of São Paulo. She was also an Administrative Tax Appeals Council and former member of the Superior Tax Appeals Chambeer.

Ms. Dias has attended several and relevant events, webinars, conferences as a speaker regarding various matters related to Tax Law. Those events were organized by AASP, IASP, IBET, OAB-SP, APET, IBDT, ABRADT, and other important institutes.
