Justin Necpal was called to the Ontario bar in 2008 and has spent his career focused on complex commercial litigation, with particular emphasis on shareholder and partnership disputes, investment loss and fraud recovery, insolvency-related litigation, and executive employment matters. Over nearly two decades of practice, he has appeared at both the trial and appellate levels on a wide range of Canadian business law issues, including director and officer liability, fiduciary duties, oppression, restrictive covenants, and fraudulent conveyances.

He is frequently retained at the outset of urgent disputes, where his experience with emergency injunctions and other extraordinary pre-trial remedies is often central to a client's strategy. His practice includes having served as court-appointed independent supervising solicitor in Anton Piller matters, a role that reflects the confidence of the court as much as of clients.

Mr. Necpal also maintains an active regulatory defence practice, acting for regulated professionals in investigations and enforcement proceedings before financial market regulators and professional colleges.

Beyond his practice, he contributes to trial advocacy education and speaks regularly on civil litigation and professional issues. He currently serves as Vice-Chair of the Canadian Bar Association's Dispute Resolution Section, having previously served as Secretary, and is recognized as a leading lawyer by the Canadian Legal Lexpert Directory.
