Julius Berg Kaasin is known for his expertise in IP, dispute resolution and retail. He heads Brækhus' IP practice and assists businesses with establishment, enforcement, and commercialization of all IP rights. In addition to retail, Julius primarily works within technology, energy, and pharmaceutical industries. As a former in-house lawyer, Julius is dedicated to finding good commercial solutions. He has also litigated several major IP cases in court, and has an extensive international network.
Under Julius’s leadership, Brækhus has earned recognition both nationally and internationally, including being named Norwegian Trademark Law Firm of the Year at the 2023 Managing IP Awards. Julius himself has also been honored in major legal rankings, placing among the top 10 lawyers for both IP and retail law in Kapital’s annual Norwegian lawyer survey (Advokatundersøkelsen).
Julius is passionate about IP and serves as a board member of several key IP associations such as NIR/AIPPI Norway and LES Scandinavia. He is also an active writer, superviser and examiner, as well as a popular speaker.
