Juan José Villar

Juan José Villar is Managing Partner of Villar & Villar Abogados, S.C., since the year 2007, where he specializes in a broad range of matters related with mergers and acquisitions, including cross-border transactions, real estate investment, mergers, spin off, disinvestment, Private Equity transactions and co-investment. Mr. Villar has represented actively various foreign companies and investors regarding the sale or acquisition of their participations and business in Mexico and is also in charge of corporate governance, financing and other related matters. Additionally, Mr. Villar provides consultation in all aspects of corporate law related with the incorporation, operation and maintenance of Mexican companies, of national or international clients, that operate in different sectors and industries in México, including consultation, elaboration and negotiation of a wide variety of civil and commercial agreements.

Juan José Villar graduated from the Law School of the Universidad Autónoma de Querétaro, he studied a Specialization in Notarial Law at the same University, he also holds a Master Degree in Legal Consultation to Companies by the Universidad Carlos III de Madrid, Spain, which has been ranked by the Eduniversal Best Masters Ranking worldwide, as one of the best Masters in Business and Commercial Law in Europe. He has authored and co-authored several articles, publications and magazines, and has participated in multiple interviews, forums and radio programs.

Mr. Villar holds the position of Honorary Advisor of the Cámara Española de Comercio, A.C., Delegación Centro – Occidente.
