Juan Guillermo Ruiz is partner at Posse Herrera Ruiz. He leads the tax, customs, and foreign trade practices of the firm. His work focuses on tax law, with a main emphasis in tax structuring, business tax consultancy, wealth asset protection, and transfer pricing.

Juan Guillermo has extensive experience developing tax structures for operational businesses and tax planning in business reorganizations, debt transactions, private equity fund operations, infrastructure projects, and, in general, consultancy for businesses and high-net-worth individuals.

With over 35 years of experience, he has gained extensive expertise in tax consultancy and tax strategy for entities involved in multiple sectors, such as, among others, infrastructure, energy, investment funds, gas, oil, mining, finance, retail, healthcare, services, agribusiness projects, technology, and telecommunications.

During his career, Juan Guillermo has acted as President of the Latin American Committee of the International Fiscal Association (IFA), President of the Colombian Chapter of IFA, and President of the Colombian Institute of Tax and Customs Law (ICDT).
