Juan Francisco Mendez

Juan Francisco Méndez is the Co-chair of the Latin America practice based in New York. He has a thriving practice advising on transactions involving Latin America and the Caribbean. He has extensive experience in cross-border transactions across the region, including mergers and acquisitions, financings, restructurings, investigations and other complex corporate matters. Juan Francisco has worked with leading Latin American companies such as Liverpool, America Movil, CFE, Grupo Mexico, FIBRA Prologis, FIBRA Macquarie, Pan American Energy, YPF, Genneia, Despegar.com, LATAM Airlines, Quiñenco, CCU, Entel, Embotelladora Andina, Avianca, Nutresa, Grupo Sura, Ecopetrol, Intercorp, Interbank, InRetail, Minsur, as well as global investment banks such as Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley, JPMorgan, Citigroup and Bank of America. He has also worked with the Firm’s private equity clients such as The Blackstone Group. Juan Francisco is fluent in English and Spanish.
